Hey Brooklyn and Beyond,

We have an opportunity to raise some funds for next summer by helping out with the Portland Marathon on Sunday (10/6). Friends of Brooklyn Park is looking for volunteers for the Brooklyn Aid Station. All you have to do is show up, no training session. The shift is 6:30am to 1:30pm. A half shift is ok too, 6:30am-10:00am or 10:00am - 1:30pm.

Volunteers need to be high school age or older. We will be passing out water, nuun (hydration beverage), power bars, frozen treats, bio freeze. We need a minimum of 20 people. Gloves are provided.

There are over 6000 people running the marathon or half-marathon representing all 50 states & 15 countries. Bonus other than the good karma and money going to our neighborhood program, you get a free t-shirt. It is exciting to have the race going through our neighborhood. Come be a part of the fun and energy. Make it a Sunday Funday!!

Ben Tarne and April Dewees will be the station captains. Please reply to info@friendsofbrooklynpark.org, or fill out this form if you can help, along with your shirt size. The more people we have, then we can possibly shorten the shifts.

We are grateful for your help.
