Over 20 people gathered before the sunrise last Sunday, Oct1. They volunteered for the Brooklyn Park PDX Marathon aid station and raised over $1,000 for Friends of Brooklyn Parks Summer Youth Program.
Every year the number of volunteers has increased as they help and cheers the participants on. Runners and walkers expressed their gratitude as these volunteers connected them with water, GU, bio-freeze, and electrolytes.
We are so very thankful for the time that the volunteers gave to help make the PDX Marathon a successful city wide event and help support the youth of our Brooklyn community.
